I usually purse my lips when driving, or if I'm bored and stuck in traffic I blow up my cheeks like a puffer fish, only realised this when I caught someone looking at me with a weird look. Mostly drive with one hand holding the bottom of the steering wheel, also drink/eat/smoke whilst driving which I shouldn't do really. I always turn my head to check blind spots and I always indicate, even if there is no one else around.

I always take ages to adjust the seat and rear-view mirror before driving off (I drive my parent's car).

I drive with one hand resting on the gear stick.
I also get bored and drum on the steering wheel.
I accelerate when people are over taking me.

Made the mistake of adjusting my seat on a steep hill once and instantly loosing contact with wheel, pedals and stick....that didn't become a habit.

I palm-steer at low speeds with one hand, and speed up to get through the amber light.

Also, I'm dreadful at knowing what gear I'm in o.O it's fairly common for me to look down, find myself in first gear and not have a clue how I got there.
Snap! I've not passed yet, but I have real trouble remembering what gear im in and find myself having to check all the time!

Accelerate? It's a joke to be honest. I have a 1.0 '98 Corsa, meaning that the 3 mph of speed I gain doesn't impede anybody. If it does then I slow down again.

Oh been there. Had a 1.0 litre 2001 Corsa. It was so slow I used to think my mates 1.2 punto was 'fast'

You sound like a bit of an idiot tbh.

    Habits I have:
-Keeping my foot resting on the clutch - not enough to actually trigger it (i.e. no pressure) but I sometimes feel safer if my foots there
-Resting my left hand on my lap.
    Ok haha

That's normal... Don't we all do that?

Once the car is stopped, I put whatever gear its in, back to 1st.

If you coast it, sure put it in neutral, but if you don't hold the clutch down otherwise, the car will jolt and stall.

riding the clutch isn't good, even if you're not causing the clutch to slip you're still gonna accelerate the wearing of the bearing. just try and stick it in front of or to the left of the clutch, may feel strange at first if you're not used to it.

my thoughts exactly. Sometimes I wish there were more plod on the roads to catch twunts that do that and shred up their licences, as well as the tailgaters.

on a separate note, someone on pistonheads reported that at a speed awareness course they got offered instead of points, over 50% thought that the national speed limit on single carriageways was 40. explains so much.

I've got a habbit for shouting at obnoxious road users, like the woman driving her micra in front of me today, who decided to suddenly switch on her hazards then immediately stop in the middle of the road, get out her car and run into the shops, obviously too important to search for a parking space. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to park in the middle of the road, delaying other road users coming both ways.

Holding the steering wheel with one hand and the other on the gear stick.

    Sometimes cutting corners.

Using the most bizarre hand positions to turn haha.
