    I have a Glasgow accent and I'm really keen to soften it a bit. This is one of the main reasons why I want to study out-with Glasgow I'm not aiming for "neutral english" right enough, just understandable to a non-Glaswegian ear!

    Try being me. A mix of Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin. It's softened a bit as I've lived in different places. It's frustrating having people say "Oooh you have an accent," or copying things I say but at least I'm not boring!

    Don't change OP. I'm sure you have a lovely accent.
