Lump behind my ear? What could it be?
Hey, I've had a lump behind my left ear since I was about 10/11. It is under my skin so you can't see it from just looking. It is completely painless. When it first appeared, it was smaller, slightly larger than the size of a 5p coin. Now it starts from about an inch above the top of my ear, and continues down to below where my jaw meets my ear. Some parts of it are hard, and other parts are soft and slightly movable. The skin around it is not irratated. I am 18 years old now. I got epilepsy when I was 14, but I have only had four seizures (tonic clonic) I have also had for the past two years very irregular periods, my last one was about 6 months ago. My legs, arms, eyebrows, armpits, sideburns and kunckles amongst other places have gotten hairier since last summer, and since 2010 I have started to put on weight only on my stomach. I used to have a really flat stomach before, now it looks very flabby
but my arms and legs have stayed pretty much the same size. Even though I hardly eat much I am still putting on weight on my stomach. My face and shoulders have also put on weight, and my neck too. I also keep having these spasms before I fall asleep (they started last year) where I keep waking my self up for about 30 minutes by jolting myself awake. I also have become quite allergic to mosquito bites, the last two summers I went to spain and got bitten by mosquitos all over my legs and the bites swelled to almost the size of golfballs! I couldn't walk properly a few days because it was so painful.
Anyway, does anyone know what may have caused all this? I am going to get an ultrasound because I told my doctor about the missed periods (but not the lump) and she said she thinks it's probably pcos.
this is a picture of how my stomach has changed
