How do you prepare yourself for the day ahead?
I have a morning ritual that I like to share. I call it "the terminator". First I crouch down in the shower in the classic "naked terminator traveling through time" pose. With my eyes closed I crouch there for a minute, visualizing either Arnold or the guy from the second movie (not the chick in the third one because that one sucked) and I start to hum the terminator theme. Then I slowly rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me to proceed through my day as an emotionless, cyborg badass. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It ruins the fantasy.

I'm definitely attempting this tomorrow, it'll be interesting how it effects the emotion throughout my day.

Oh, does 'The Terminator' ritual use shampoo and body wash?

Yes of course, The Terminator would never leave the house with his hygiene levels less than perfect.

Breakfast, excercise, cigarette, shower, tv/ reading for 10 minutes.
Or at bare minimum, shower, I think not showering in the morning is grimey considering how much the average person sweats in a warm bed naturally.

Thanks for your suggestion but unfortunately I am in student accommodation so I don't think that would be appreciated, no matter how much of a cyborg badass I come across as.

Wake up. Close my eyes "for a minute". Fall asleep. Wake up again half an hour later.Run round like a crazy person for 10 minutes trying to get ready for college on time.

    Is this normal?

    That's um.. interesting

I usually just hide under the quilt until I'm almost late, then rush around and usually miss my train.

I like to enjoy my morning routine so I can avoid the fact I'm out of bed in the first place. I get up and jump straight in the shower, then I get out and put my dressing gown on, grab a cup of tea, turn the radio on, relax and start getting ready

I wake up at 7 am, when I go downstairs, grab a bowl and fill it with cereal. Then, with everybody rushing around me, I go to the bus stop, where I meet up with my many friends, and make up my mind which seat I should take.
