Re: What event are you most looking forwards to at London 2012?Blake is looking good for both the 100m and 200m. Can't wait to see Gay run again though! Blake and Bolt in the 4x100m is a no brainer for me though.(Original post by This Honest)
I really don't know. I would like to see Usain win it. However, Blake got a time of 19.24 or 19.26 which is the second fastest, behind usain's record.
Gonna be close
but ffs, I really hate that 1 false start rule. Can totally mess things up
It screwed up Bolt's world championships last year, and it must be heartbreaking for an athlete to train for months up to the peak of their physics fitness to be disqualified for a false start. Agree with you there, it can really change the outcome! -

Re: What event are you most looking forwards to at London 2012?Across the board they've got a decent shout. They have the funding and sports programs to allow them to breed top class athletes. Saying that, if Britain perform to their capabilities I do think they have an outside chance...(Original post by This Honest)

Haha no actually
I'm British. Looking forwards to seeing Dai Greene defending his title in the 400m hurdles. Hopefully William Sharman will get himself a medal also. With Liu Xiang running in the 110m, maybe not a gold, but I think a bronze or silver is achievable for him. Definitely watching Farah run too. Such a great competitor.

Re: What event are you most looking forwards to at London 2012?Hope Tyson Gay knock him off his ****ing high horse.(Original post by -Someone-Like-You-)
Usain Bolt.
Wonder if he'll eat chicken nuggets and set a new WR this time too

Re: What event are you most looking forwards to at London 2012?Haha it's the Malaysian flag. I also doubt this. My perfect 100m final would include:(Original post by This Honest)

Bolt, Gay, Powell, Blake, Carter, Mullings, Gatlin, and Thompson. Yes I know that's a lot of Jamaicans
they're all capable of sub 10s easily though. David Payne? or David Oliver? They won silver and bronze respectively at Beijing. Think Sharman is in with a chance of getting at least to the final. He's quick, and he's been just outside the medals the last few championships.

Re: What event are you most looking forwards to at London 2012?haha a lot yes! I just want the winner to really try and smash the race. Not celebrate before crossing the line, although that was unbelievable at the time(Original post by myfriendSQRT(-1))

Yes! Oliver as well although I don't think he'll get gold or silver. Sharman's alright, his best aim should be the final

Re: What event are you most looking forwards to at London 2012?To see a new WR set for any track event will be an absolute dream. It not being Bolt would make it all the more interesting! I think Liu Xiang will get gold. US have a solid track team. They may end up top of the medals for track being from the general calibre rather than from winning lots of golds.(Original post by This Honest)
