Re: What event are you most looking forwards to at London 2012?It's in the commonwealth games so it may have been that. If you're talking about recently it was most likely the british open (won by a yorkshire man may I add(Original post by m4nurul3)
That's annoying.
I swear I watched it in some big event. Maybe it was the world championships
) which was last month. It's absolutely ridiculous that it's not in.

Football!
Got tickets to see Brazil play at Old Trafford. The squad's been released, and there's loads of top flight UEFA players, the other half all play in the Brasileirão, so the team's brimming with quality, can see them winning the gold to be honest.
As a United fan, the chance to see and support Brazil on home turf is once in a lifetime, I'm so excited

I'm most looking forward to the 100M. I know that is generic but I've been saying for about a year now that Blake will beat Bolt and I'm excited to see if he can do it.
Otherwise, I think the tennis at SW19 will be cool, Badminton is always exciting, the rowing will be as enjoyable as usual and I seem to be the only person interested to see how the football pans out. -

Old thread, but I was about to start one on the same topic so I'll just hitch a ride on this one. I *can't wait* for the gymnastics (women's artistic mainly, but men's too in a more general way); there are some exciting gymnasts out there at the moment, the rivalry between the Russians and the Americans is almost as awesome as it was at Atlanta '96, and there's a young American gymnast, Gabby Douglas, who I'd love to see medal or win:
She's awesome, and I much prefer her style of gymnastics to Jordyn Weiber's. I also adore Viktoria Komova, so I'd be happy with either of those two taking the all-around title. I don't hate Weiber or anything, I just find her a bit boring, and I'd like to see an underdog like Douglas beat her. It'll be interesting to see how the British women do on home soil, since they are the strongest team this country has ever had.
Aside from that, I'm looking forward to the Diving, Swimming, and Athletics
