    Accommodation for exchange students
I go to university in Sweden and recently applied to do exchange year at Durham, starting in October. Yesterday I found out I got the exchange and was told that I'll be contacted in the next couple of weeks with further details.

I read on Durham's website that all international students get accomodation in a college, which I'm quite happy about. So now, my question is, is it it possible to apply to a certain college as an exchange student or do we just get them allocated to us randomly? In the case of the former option, I figured I better get in touch with them before they allocate them (as I'm sure is the main process as most exchange students probably don't care about what college they end up at). So if any of you are/have been exchange students at Durham or know someone who is/has been I'd be very grateful if you could answer my question.
