Cardiff or City University?

Hey!

I'm so undecided whether to go to Cardiff University or City University London to do my Bachelor degree in Journalism and Sociology.
I have visited City and I did not only fall in love with the facilities they have (studios, newsrooms, etc.) but I also felt comfortable there. On the other hand, despite City's good reputation for journalism, London is a super nice (and with lots of jobs in the media?) but really really expensive place to be...
Then, Cardiff as well has got a great reputation and ranking and also the living expenses would be cheaper there. But I heard the degree is, although known for its excellence, rather academic than related to praxis (compared with City).
What do you think about the two courses / unis - which one would be the better choice? Any advice??
