Embarrassing Problem with going to toilet...This is really gross but i'm kinda worried. I tried going to the toilet today, but instead this white mucus stuff came out in the toilet, nothing else, and I have bad trapped wind today its making my stomach really hurt.
I last went to the toilet on Thursday so I don't think i'm constipated, but I still feel the need to go, but all that comes out is this white stuff
It's probably nothing and will go away in a few days, I just dont know why its there and what it is?? Has anyone else experienced this and what I can do to get back to normal?

Re: Embarrassing Problem with going to toilet...I don't want to worry you but apparantly it can be caused by problems with the liver http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/white-stool/AN01724 It doesn't suggest in the article that it is an emergency, but to make sure you should contact 0845 4647 (Nhs Direct). They'll be able to tell you what to do.

Edit - apologise to those neg repping feeling it is unfair to call this guy an idiot.

Unless you have yellow eyes +/- skin and dark urine, in which case pop into your local emergency department.
