    dress for a summer Wedding
I have a wedding to go to this summer and am looking for a dress. I'm invited to the whole wedding - church, wedding breakfast and evening reception - so need something that's smart enough for the church but also suits the reception. I'm also the guest of one of the ushers so need to be fairly smart.
I'm thinking about either a floral print dress or something floaty and chiffony. Don't mind which colours, though the bridesmaids are in purple so should probably avoid that.
    Thanks

Forgot to say I'm 5'2, hair will be re-dyed by then back to a dark brown graduated bob. Skintone is fairly middleish really, not fair and not dark.

OMG i had the same dilemma...and i was on asos 24/7 looking for a dress. in the end i got the PERFECT ONE!! and i just love it and couldnt be more happier. although the price reduced after i bought it so i was a bit bitter about that. but i absolutely love it.

got mine a size 8, and its super slimming, and the shimmer is just lovely. and cos its long in the back it makes it wedding appropriate i find. i just love it! good luck!

Wow, that's a big list thanks! Bit confused why you've only found cream/beige/nude dresses though?
I do love these ones, but not sure if the colours will suit my skin tone :/

Though I'm not sure I'm brave enough for the third one :P
Sorry, that wasn't even intentional! I think its just that I really like them colours for a wedding in the summer . that third one is lovely, although I definitely get what you mean about being brave ha

haha I do like the beiges, just think they'd make me look a bit washed out. Keep seeing purple dresses I love but don't want to risk looking too similar to the bridesmaids lol. Or upstaging them ;P Yeah, I'd be really uncomfortable with cutouts :/

Usually the tip of what to avoid on the big day is the bridesmaids dress colour and the mother of the brides dress colour. Hmm, would you ever consider fake tan? Not like a proper fake bake but those moisturising creams like johnsons holiday skin, to give you a glowier look? I think generally most skintones can actually suit beiges and creams. The only people that colour wont look good on imho is those on the larger side :/. I'm asian so my skin is olive toned, I wear a cream/beige dress on a night out and I didnt look too bad? I've no pictures where you can actually see me in the dress properly, so i cant show you lol :/

That's gorgeous thanks but yellow makes me look ill

I've fallen in love with this one but don't think I can justify the £65 http://www.janenorman.co.uk/fcp/prod...514?colour=grn

Might compromise and get this one instead
    http://www.janenorman.co.uk/fcp/prod...859?colour=blu
£45 is a bit more realistic lol

Hey, it looks like the first one has been reduced to £48, which is only £3 more than the second one. They're both lovely, anyway.

Ooooh so it has!! However they only have a 10, think that'd be too big but then Jane Norman does come up quite small I think? Think I'm going to go into my local shop and try them on. If the 10 fits I'll definitely go for the lighter one

Ive probably not gone for a summer look by I love all of the dresses especially the first one(which is probably the only summery one) and the second one! I love midis, so classy.

Thanks everyone for your input, I've almost made a decision!
Bought this in store the other day
    http://m.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/st...pecial+edition

But have since seen it in these colours on the website
    http://m.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/st...03020618039_-1

So bought that one as well, waiting for it to arrive then I'll decide between the 2 and return one of them. Think I'm swaying towards the blue...
