I've played electric guitar for a couple years on-off. Defo bringing one of mine with me to HLaw! I wouldn't say I'm particularly good, but there's time. :P
Haha yeah I'm not the best but i can hold a tune and play basic solos and obviously play the chords!

God, how I wish my parent put me in music school when I was young.
Always wanted to learn how to play the drums, and I somehow have an interest in the bagpipe, the sound that comes out of that thing is amazing!
I never went to music school, i went to a free music project and learnt how to play drums with my friends, so i can hold a beat now! A lot better at guitar, unfortunately i dont know much about bagpipes!

Guitarists, what amps do you all use? I'm using a Vypyr 30 at the minute but I need to downsize - Any ideas what I could pick up for a couple hundred quid that's 15w yet I can get some good power and solid toan out of?

    Grazie.

I used a small 15watt BC Rich stock amp as it came with my BC Rich Warlock however i have been given an old amp, so old that it doesn't have a name! I hear the cube amp is decent and you can get small fender amps? Its worth going into a music store and trying them out though

I started at Portsmouth last year, and finding people with the same musical tastes as me was a big effort aha. I took my acoustic down with me last year for halls, but in my house this year I'm planning on taking down my electric, and hopefully my drum kit as drums are my preferred instrument. Just have to get to know the neighbours first aha.

Used to be in a band whilst in school, and since coming back home over the holidays we've got back to doing it as we all missed it quite a bit, so I would love to do something whilst as Uni.

It may not have a name, but I'm sure it's got character!

    I'm looking at either a Blackstar HT-5 or a VOX AC4TV.

The Vox is winning on price, plus being able to roll-back the wattage is a handy feature, although I could just plug in headphones to the Blackstar. The Bs seems to handle slightly heavier tones ok, although the Vox looks like it'll handle classic rock tones really well... Not a chance I could get metal out of a 4/5 watter, but I don't really play that anyway. :P

The ISF feature on the HT5 looks pretty sweet. *sighs*, might have to find a store that has them both in and try 'em out.

My last.fm link is in my sig. I'm partial to most music, and it's not like my favourite bands are that unknown. Portsmouth isn't really known for its alternative music scene though, so nearly everyone I met last year had a pretty generic taste.

I have never met a trombonist in person!!! That is amazing and i'm loving that you play a bit of uke, I'm a bit of a novice to the uke but it's not that much different from bass or guitar (sorry if I offended you with that statement)
