Yes, I do. It makes the skin really smooth for foundation application. If you watch makeup tutorials on youtube you'll see that it's Pixiwoos favourite moisturizer for applying foundation!
Yay! I was just reading some reviews on the Boots website and it sounds really good. So excited to buy some tomorrow! I don't have anything in the meantime though, so I'm thinking Bio Oil again for overnight and tomorrow I have my first exam on Monday so tomorrow I shall be doing intense cramming in uni but I'll have to take half an hour out to go to Boots. It'll be worth it!

Hey, i couldnt help but sign up to reply since ive been in the exact situation as you for a long time up until recently and i hate that other people suffer from this too, i also deal with eczema, as well as itchy, dry and flaky skin everywhere,
what really helped for daily moisturising and can be used under makeup is Double Base Gel, it helps for keeping the skin non-flaky and moisturised, i think you can get it from Boots. It can be used long term without any side effects like other creams.
Also, for eczema, i used Hydrocortisone 1% for my face twice a day and Betamethasone Valerate for my body. But, these can have side effects if used long term and when i used these creams before, my skin stopped responding after a while so i dont know if these will work for you, im still looking for a decent Eczema cream right now since E45 doesnt work for me either.

    Hope this helps!!

Thanks! Is Double Base just an emollient? I had one from the doctor before called Biprobase, which form the name sounds like the same thing or similar. It didn't work for me though I used to use hydrocortisone on my arms when I was younger but I stopped responding to it when I was about 13, but then I got prescribes Eumovate which is a different steroid cream, and it's great. It works really well on my arms but I did try it on my face and it made me break out. It's really good everywhere else though.

So last night I put Bio Oil all over my face before I went to bed and this morning my skin looked great!! Well, maybe not great, but soooooo much better than it was yesterday. I thought it would clog up my pores but my skin looks really clear and healthy this morning, and it took away all the dry skin on my neck. Parts of my face are still really dry and I had to put more on under my makeup today but the difference was really noticable, more so than any moisturiser I've tried in the past. I bought some of that Oilatum Natural Repair face cream today to see how it goes under my makeup tomorrow (Bio Oil is not good under makeup!!) but I think I'll keep going with the Bio Oil at night, even when my skin has recovered.

If you're wearing make up, can I ask what exactly you're using too? Because if you're wearing a full face of foundation then you don't want to put on something super drying and matte like MAC Pro Longwear, Estee Lauder Double Wear or Revlon ColourStay.

Also you could try adding a bit of moisturiser to your foundation - if you wear it - to help throughout the day.

I use Revlon ColourStay, but it's the one for normal/dry skin so I thought it would be more moisturising, or at least not drying?? I noticed they do have a normal/oily one as well. I really don't want to change foundation because this is the only one I've found which actually matches my skin tone, and it's super long lasting and amazing!! I'm really pale and with all the other ones I've used, even when I buy the palest colour it's still too dark. SO I used the Oilatum last night and under my makeup today and I LOVE IT! It made my skin really soft and plump and normal feeling! Except even though it felt really moist all day, it was still quite itchy. I'm going to exfoliate tonight and keep using it.

Exactly what I was about to post! DoubleBase is my absolute life saver, I have really dry, flaky, eczema-prone skin and doublebase is the only moisturiser I've had that doesn't sting when I applied it. I use it daily and as well keeping my skin really well moisturised, it's kept my eczema at bay too. I've tried all manner of high street brand moisturisers and nothing does the job as well really. I get DoubleBase 500g pumps on prescription but if you don't want the faff of going to the doctors you can get it on Amazon for not much more than the cost of a prescription. Hope this helps, I know what a pain in the arse dry/itchy skin is!
