Re: religion and hate
Standard group mentality, Humans are violent, aggressive and sadistic by nature. Religion gives people a perfect way to distinguish the are and are nots thus allowing them to justify actions against them.
It's like football hooliganism on a larger scale, people join a firm so they can basically fight and satisfy their primal needs while building a sense of belonging and importance. -

Re: religion and hatethe irony...(Original post by Perseveranze)
My problem with Atheism is that they may force their ideology down people's throats
based on TSR, its always on religious discussions... hardly forcing, and its not like atheism is the only one at fault
its more of a personality trait than one due to religion, just like with theistsLast edited by Dmon1Unlimited; 15-04-2012 at 02:47. -

Re: religion and hate
Worshippers of faiths that are monotheistic in nature are subconsciously threatened by those of us who have a religion that is either polytheistic or atheistic in nature. I feel the same way about people harshing my mellow about Buddhism. As a side note, I want to add that I joined the site just to post on this thread. Approx. 20 mins ago. Haha..

Re: religion and hateDigging the sarcasm, very well put my friend.(Original post by FrigidSymphony)
Religions give their followers a belief of divine selection, of being a chosen people, of being the recipients of a truth that no other group knows. This makes them special and better than everyone else. -
