Yeah, I had like double on the cr side. There was so many written questions but I'm surprised there was no definitions?! This was a retake for me and January's paper was full of them! They're the only reason I scraped a B LOL.

Can anyone confirm they put accruels as 660 and prepayment as 1140? I don't think we had to do anything to the figures that was given in the additional information. Also mine balanced around 59000

My prepayments were 660, and with hindsight I should have included the accrual for the rents and rates but I didn't do anything with it at all.

Mine balanced at 59445 and I'm convinced I got the accruals and prepayments correct

off cource you have to change the figures in the additional information, the months were given and you had to work out how much the prepayment and acural was relating to the current financial period

Why would they give you loads of additional information if they expected you not to use it?

Yeah, the rents and rates account in January's paper was so bad for me, we never even learnt that and my teacher apologised to us all afterwards! Nearly my whole class retook. The rest dropped the course LOOOL.

I hope they are nice enough to give us a cash budget. I mean shares are a 100% along side with ratios so with cash budget everyone should get good marks.

Yer I hope so. But the exam board is probably going to ask us to analyse stuff and give a balance argument in the answer.(or something simlar like give advantage of using cash budget)

Well thats not that hard either. Personally I think they would give us a cash budget and they will ask us something about technology like "Looking at whatever ltd do you think they should introduce computerised accounting?" something like this. Plus what do you think are the chances of them giving Balance Sheet for a Ltd. Haven't been up for ages. I mean they have never given full balance sheet just the equity section.

Hey guys could any of you accountants give me, or know where to find extra Income statment questions and balance sheets, with answers, not the ones on the AQA website. and also cash budgets.
I really need to practice with these as these usually take up most of the marks in the question papers.

You've done all the ones in past papers? It might be worth looking at the old ACC2 papers or even ACC3/4, as they might have some topics that cross over. The revision book my school made us has all the past papers and also some from ACC2/3/4 so they must have some relevant things in them.

I definitely know that 'budgeting' will come up with a lot of changes which would need to be adjusted. The long essay question may be on advantages and disadvantages of budgeting, application of the accounting concepts such as Prudence and Realisation.etc and may be something on shares. I was thinking that there may be a question on evaluation of ratios but that came up this year in January 2012... Budgeting hasn't come since June 2011 so it WILL DEFINITELY come now! Trading and profit and Loss account will be there will lots and lots of adjustments and so will ratio calculations and impact of ICT in accounting questions will be there. So will a capital or reserves question or Statement of Changes in Equity.
