I think it was okay. My balance sheet balanced but I'm not sure if it was the right figure. Bit unsure about the table correcting profit & working capital either. I changed my cash budget about 4 times so I hope that's right.

What was everyone's balance sheets at and gearing %?

Worst exam I have ever done. Got A in all of the papers I did bu this one was terrible. Not even going to get a C. Expecting boundaries to be very low.

I think the paper was okay I guess, although trust it to have a Balance Sheet & an Adjusting Profit question when they hardly came up. My balance sheet was out by £5000 unfortunately but you don't get the big marks for balancing, did anyone get their final closing balance on the cash budget to be around (£30000)?
Hated the profit but an overdraft question and I already know I made a mistake on the gearing ratio.
Apart from that it was okay

My balance sheet didn't balance but it still mostly FELT right to me if that makes sense?

I managed to make the 51% that they had and then used the same method for mine so I'm quite confident my figure's right for that - around 30%.

My balance sheet balanced at £337795 if I remember correctly.
My last cash budget closing balance was like (3070)? Some
    combination of those figures.
    My gearing was 44%.
I used the debentures divided by (share premium + ordinary shares + revaluation reserve + retained earnings.)

I thought the exam was so tricky! don't know what the examiner was thinking when he wrote the questions. Is it just me or did half of them not even fully explain what you had to do!? at least I got 88 on unit one so it's impossible for me to fail!

Holy hell that was a really hard exam. The hardest of all lol. Why did they ask for the errors in the first question?

Did we have to put Error of Omission, Error of Original Entry etc for that question?

    you're confusing yourself with ACCN1 I believe.
I put about there being an error in the system & some stock may have been stolen so it was not recorded gone?

this was a hard one they did not have much long writing questions but the three hard ones (that is what i call it) profit adjustment, cash budget and balance sheet, i must say that was a tricky one:bebored:

Actually, you can put any of the CROPOC errors i.e error of omission and principle
This is because an item may not have been scanned to entered into the system
I have checked this on my coursenotes

if it were i will be over the moon, but we all know that that is the grade boundary for a U
    i think it might be...
    62 ...... A
    57 ...... B
    52 ...... C
    47 ...... D
    43 ...... E
    0-42 .... U

This is just an assumption, but i hope that it is not, i hope that an A is a 58-60, highly unlikely but it was quite a hard one so maybe they might be generous??

Generally that went ok, but only ok.
What took the piss is that, I saw the mark scheme for the profit but overdraft question in another paper I took yesterday, in fact the notes are on my phone. But this morning, I just skipped over them as I just assumed it wouldn't come up. I wrote some stuff down but at best only a few marks. I'm definitely going to be re-taking this in January.

I did well in the first paper and I'll be happy with a C overall.

    Is a U up to 42? Isn't that high?

That was not too bad.. i put the depreciation in the cash budget but remembered too late! The first question i wrote about omission and theft of stock, which wouldn't be accounted for on the computerized system. The balance sheet balance, i had something like 337--- i think. My cash budget was a negative balance with (7----) but was slightly wrong due to depreciation. I think the test was okay though, not too bad...
