what PHD can you do with mechanical engineering
Say If I graduated with a 2.1 in Mechanical engineering Meng or Beng, what PHD programmes could I apply to, I know about the EngD but are there traditional PHD's available in Physics and Mathematics in particular? that an engineering graduate could apply for.

Re: what PHD can you do with mechanical engineeringIs an EngD not a engineering doctorate that you can only get researching in industry, or is that something else i'm thinking of?(Original post by kaosu_souzousha)
EngD is just a more practical version of PhD. You can do either. -
Re: what PHD can you do with mechanical engineeringYou are absolutely right. During and EngD, you will essentially be bound to a particular company and do research specifically for them. Hence, why I said it is a more practical version of PhD.(Original post by Foghorn Leghorn)
