Want to study History at Uni, however not to sure where to apply...
I have decided that I want to study History at uni. I am doing my A-levels in the UK and completed my GCSEs here, however am from Canada, so don't know too much about the English universities and was wondering if anyone could tell me good unis to read history at...
I got 7 A stars at GCSE and 3 As and am predicted 5 As at AS level.
    My Subjects are:
    History
    Geography
    Maths
    Biology
    Chemistry

Does anyone know if these subjects are okay for wanting to do History, as I know I am only doing two humanities...

    Thank you!!

Your subjects are ok...For AS i did Chemistry, Biology, Maths and History and got offers for History this year so dont see a problem with them. I might just have been lucky tho...

Dude history isnt an exclusive subject, as long as you get good grades and study history ull be ok.

I got 6 As at gcse, 2As,B,C,D at AS and predicted A*A*A at A2

had offers from durham, york, birmingham, uea, and oxford brookes (last choice was terrible - regret picking a backup choice)

    Hiya,
I am a student ambassador from UEA in Norwich, I think it is great that you are thinking ahead. Do not worry about not doing too many "Humanity" subjects, you have given yourself a broad basis to choose your subject from. So long as you do well, especially in your personal statement, then you should be absolutely fine! Good luck :-)

You have a good mix of A-Levels, so you should be fine for applying for History. I got into two of the best universities in the country for History (Cambridge and UCL) studying History, English Literature, Physics and Mathematics, so you should be fine.

In terms of good universities to read History at, since you have very strong grades, I'd certainly recommend looking into either Cambridge or Oxford.

DONT DO HISTORY, YOU WILL REGRET IT,

look at vocational options, ie accounting, geologist, physiotherapist etc
