i did a recce today of the Westfield centre at the Oympic Park. First impressions were good, lots of upscale shops and restaurants. A place for a beer after shift

From the tube the entrance to the Olympic Park is about 2-5 mins walk. You exit through the main ticket hall, go up the stairs, follow the outside area called The Street, past M&S, then turn left at the big fountain and you can see the stadium in front of you.

However there might be a way to avoid the crowds. Instead of going up the stairs you could follow the road around towards the stadium behind the station and M&S which brings you to the same place.

As you can see from the photos, there are plenty of security screening lanes.
