Whoops, have to do 5 more days otherwise I'm insta-rejected. I had to beg for an extension from Reading/an earlier summer placement from the school. Glad I called them today.
I can't wait for study leave. No more panicking that I've missed my exam...

Oh that's so annoying! Did they give you an extension then? Well that's even more stress for you then, tbh its a bit useless of them not to tell you sooner, plus they deadline was silly anyway don't they know lots of us still have exams then and were planning on doing it after exams, luckily my school let me have 10 days out to do it otherwise I would have been stuck :/ was good you phoned them!
4 more days and then I never have to go to that school again, its very sad but at the same time very relieving

No word on the extension... But the school are rushing my crb and letting me come in over study leave. I need to ask them if I can go in to their reception at some point to qualify for Marjon...
Also, just got the crb form for Reading. £40??????

I thought it was £44 I can get it done cheaper than that! Also that health questionaire thing asking about my weight, thought it was slightly too personal :/
That's so annoying though when you should really be focusing on your exams and what's a majon?

No, still primary ed. Just no English, which would suck.

Haha, that's a bit random. My reserve was almost ed studies which would have been interesting but less pointful. Probably would have reapplied for English lit or something.

It was the only course that wanted me with lower grades than reading so yer but if I don't get in this year will have to focus on getting a more primary ed course next year

Yeah, same here. Except Marjon is 240 points so if I don't get in there I don't think I'll get in anywhere. I could always do a foundation year like my boyfriend did, except not in computing >.> (:
At the moment I'm trying to do this placement. I have 9-ish free days in June and 7 days of experience left to get. Not hard at all...

No that's fine theb you can do that just gotta make sure you still focus on exams Only 240! That's really good especially for a primary ed course! Yer I thought about doing an art foundation if I failed but they won't let you apply last minute so a bit stuck there

Sorry for the late reply. I phoned reading on Monday and they said the deadline has been extended. So it won't matter that posting my reference will take longer than the deadline, though I did manage to get all ten days in (: I'm staying in the school until the end of term anyway because they're lovely.
    Not that I passed my exams or anything, but at least I won't be rejected on a technicality (;

Yer I've got a few extra placements now just to kill time, and the kids are lovely.

Well that's good then, how much extra did they give you? If its lots then you can send them even more days on your reference, and say "look how amazing I am, I did more then you asked!" Then they will hopefully say "wow, we don't need to se your grades now, your in! Oh and also is that girl your chatting too on TSR" :P Here's hoping.

Are all your exams finished now? I'm officially on summer and all I really want to do is shop for uni, (to have an excuse to spend my parents money) but its very annoying that I have no idea if I'm in or not :P should of just taken a gap year then I wouldnt have to worry

I still haven't found anyone else doing the same course as us :P

    hi everyone,

i'll be starting in september, so excited.

now i am worried about where to stay tho. does anyone know where they are going to be living, i have looked around quite a bit and think i am going to apply to kendrick halls as it is located opposite and when i spoke to them they said they could allow me to stay earlier than there contract start date which is a massive help.

only a few months to gooooooo...... x

I'm in year four and loving it. I'm getting really in to all of their end of term projects, so I'm actually quite sad that I'm going down to reception next week. Also, hoards of small children scare me. But I have a very nice reference now which I'm going to send off. The deadline's now the end of term (20th) (:

I finished a week or so ago. I don't even care that I failed my last exam (; I'm ready to send off my CRB and health stuff too, but I still think it's going to be a waste of money and I won't get in >.> WHY COULDN'T THE TARGET GRADES HAVE STAYED THE SAME? I sort of wish I'd have taken a gap year, or applied a year late. Everything's so much easier when you're unconditional.

Also, HELLO NEW FRIEND. I applied for the CheapyMcCheap accommodation, in order of cheapness. I could do with the exercise anyway (: What is your specialism?

Ha that deadline would have been soo much easier for me too oh well. When I was working I found it very difficult to tell the children off I just felt really bad well its good its all sorted now just bring on exam results!
I sent mine off a week after we got it as I'm cool like that and I now have my CRB although it was expensive and I May not get in we can still use it to work with children in other places ahh all this worry will be worth it soon :P
Ahh we aren't the only ones! Hello! Yer what specialism are you doing? Are you an unconditional person then? Yer I just applied for the cheap ones but I like the look of those town houses the most but I'm not too fussed I'm sure it will be fun where ever we get put x
