Day Zero Project Society!
Welcome to the Day Zero Project Society thread on The Student Room. If you have Day Zero account or something similar, you can post your list here and talk about your progress with others. If you're not sure what Day Zero is, then here's information about it from the official website:
The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.
For more information on the project, go to Day Zero Project
Useful Links.
Lists of Bests is a website where you can create lists about anything; your favourite places, food or your goals for life.
Mission 101 Live Journal helps people who are doing these types of challenges who can update and see each other's progress.
Don't forget to sign up to the Day Zero Project Society too!
Let's Start Posting!
Feel free to post your list, or make your list right here and just keep updating it if you get any more ideas. And remember to join the official society group too!Last edited by MysteryPass; 18-04-2012 at 13:13. -

Re: Day Zero Project Society! It took me a few weeks to completely fill the list, it's very tough. I didn't think it would be so difficult thinking of things.(Original post by moomin_love)
It's taking me a lot longer to make my list than I thought it would! I worked out that my end date should be approximately 15th January 2015 so fingers crossed as many as these things get done as possible! -
Re: Day Zero Project Society!
Done a small, 15 thing list for over summer - I don't have time to write a full 101 thing list right now, hence why it's on the mini list!
The mini list:
1 Run a 5K race
2 Complete a coloring book
3 Start a scrapbook
4 Write a message in a public bathroom
5 See a movie alone
6 Visit a butterfly sanctuary
7 Learn how to do a backflip
8 Make cookies shaped like teapots
9 Create an inspiration board
10 Write a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days!
11 Write a letter to myself to open in 10 years
12 Organize my recipes
13 Do the 200 sit-ups challenge (www.twohundredsitups.com)
14 Donate blood
15 Make homemade bread
Runs from 19th of May (day after I leave my uni town for the summer) until 1st of October (day I get back for year 3).
Edit - I've added a final one, 'Attend the summer olympics'; bit of a cheat as I have tickets for the 3DE final but thought I'd bung it on there!Last edited by kiss_me_now9; 17-04-2012 at 14:21. -

Very nice lists both of you! And it doesn't matter if it's not 101, it can be as short or as long as you want. This project is actually keeping me motivated, which I need(Original post by Loveuraliens)

I signed up to the website today, I know it's not until November, but it'll give me ideas and give me the chance to talk to others about it.

Re: Day Zero Project Society!Thank you! It sounds really fun, but I've no idea where to start. Thankfully I love writing lists and drawing spider diagrams, so fingers crossed I'll have a good idea on what I want to write about in the next few months.(Original post by Loveuraliens)
