Time for a Danny rant.


I can't stand prepacked sandwiches. It's not the idea itself, but they always have about 4 different fillings on each sandwich. Like always.


And that means there's always one filling I dislike(normally mayonnaise)

Yes! They drench the whole thing in mayo or stick a casual tomato in, not good.

Eurgh! Imo the tomato is always disgusting. It doesn't matter where you get it from or what other fillings are in the sandwich, the tomato is just disgusting.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of mayo and it's almost impossible to find one without.

Wow, I have never met anybody else who hates prepacked sandwiches because they have mayonnaise in them. A lot of the time I really like the look of X pre-packed sandwich until I look at the ingredients on the back and discover mayonnaise... I can't remember the last time I had a pre-packed sandwich for that reason.

I hate them if there from somewhere like co-op or sainsburys or morrisons - always think the breads really dry.
But love them form m&s - cant beat there tuna mayo sweetcorn!

I'm quite partial to a pre-packed sandwich (although I prefer to make my own) and love mayonnaise but I can see where you're coming from as almost all of them do have a generous amount of the egg-based condiment smothered on them (and, alas, it's not Hellmann's).

I think they add it to make up for the dryness and lack of flavour of the other components, namely the bread and, if present, chicken.

I pretty much hate anything pre-packed, ready meals etc. Usually full of ****e and over priced. But I'll eat them if I'm out and didn't bring my own food.

I actually love them. Tesco Chicken salad sandwiches The ones from M&S and Greggs are lush too.

I agree, there are so many rank ones out there, but equally there's some really nice ones. From working in retail when I was at school where I could never be bothered to make lunch, I soon figured out which ones were nice!

I really like them. But then, I really like mayo so it's cool with me when they are covered in the stuff

i like fresh HOMEMADE sandwiches but when you're hungry beyond belief you have to make do with prepacked.

I can't stand them- not just because of the whole mayo thing (though that sucks) but also because something about a stranger assembling sandwiches freaks me out.

Sainsbury's Chicken and Stuffing sandwiches are awesome. Don't really eat anything else when working though.

Erm I don't hate them but I do find it hard to be excited by them.

Anyone else just think they look and taste fake? Like how the egg mayo looks fake, the bacon is fake, the salad is fake and the chicken is fake?

Maybe it's just me.

I love them tbh. The best sandwiches I've had have always been prepacked ones, they always seem to be better than (my) homemade ones for some reason.. But the only downside for me is the price (or tomatos etc. which are easily picked out )
