Isn't this the **** who killed someone while texting and got let off after about a week?

Anyway even labour wont be able to play this down, good riddance.
He served over 2 weeks I think but his sentence should have been suspended in law (appealed to Court of Appeal), so really he served 2+ weeks when he shouldn't really have...

How is it that The Sun reports Simon cowells love life and it hits front page but this is probably somewhere in the middle in a small box or not even at all. Its like they don't want us to know we have terrorists in the government. -_-
    He's not in the government...

In 2009, Lord Ahmed was jailed after he was caught sending and receiving text messages at the wheel, minutes before he was involved in a fatal crash on the M1
    how was that even relevant?

Well a 9 point lead in the polls is better than trailing by 5 points before the last election.

I'm quite surprised, considering their recent gaffes, as well as their poor performance overall. Then again, there are many who simply wish to protest against the current government.

Yeh but I don't know what exactly happened. It wasn't entirely his fault but he was negligent so got a conviction for that (death by careless driving or so).

Just another storm in a teacup.

The same kind of tabloid fodder that ensued after the 'lady-decanting-in-the-kitchen' story arose.

How on earth is a member of the opposition party putting a bounty on US presidents "a storm in a teacup"? It's laughable that this has even happened, it's like a parody. It shows just how corrupt labour has become.
