Hi people,

Does anyone know anyone who did their bachelor degree in the Philippines and got admitted to a reputable UK universities??

My friend is currently doing bachelor degree there and is aiming to continue her studies in the UK but as education system in the Philippines is not as strong so it might as be harder to gain an admission in the UK universities.

So if anyone here is a filipino or has friends from the Philippines, your help/information would be very much appreciated.

I think it depends on the qualifications your friend has. I also did my bachelors in the Philippines, but I have over five years of professional experience. I just received an unconditional offer from Newcastle University to study in September, but haven't decided yet coz I'm still waiting for other offers, if any.

What your friend could do is contact the university she's eyeing and inquire about requirements, particularly country-specific requirements. That's what I did before submitting my applications. University of Manchester for one told me I need to have another Master's degree before I can study at the university. The others were okay with my profile and encouraged me to apply.
