Carlsberg is awesome. And to my surprise it wasn`t much worse in UK as it was in Denmark.

What are some UK beers BTW?

It was a lovely beer. They call it 'Fosters' I think.

Yeah, homebrew. Can't remember the exact recipe, the guys I live with and I brew as a group and I wasn't around much while this one was in the beginning stages. I remember we used a few kg of pilsen malt, and some carapils. Can't remember what other grains/hops were used unfortunately, or the mash times, sorry.
It's being stored at about 18 degrees, probably not ideal but best we could do.
Really looking forward to it, we've been doing a lot of heavier drinks recently so it'll be nice to have something a little lighter for the warmer weather.

18 degrees? Are lagers not meant to be stored between 2 and 5 degrees?

Oh, it'll be chilled to that for drinking, keeping it at 18 for the secondary fermentation and clearing stages. Plus, even when it comes to cooling for drinking we won't be able to keep all of it at that temperature (5 gallon kegs are hard to fit in the fridge :P)

"lagering" means cold fermenting. Google it. Lager yeast only ferments at low temperatures.

If this works, you will probably have a black california common.

Ah, really? I had no idea, I'm pretty much learning by doing when it comes to the brewing, cheers for the heads up. Hopefully it'll still come out ok then, hate the idea of having to chuck out that much beer if it hasn't fermented properly.

    Where are you going?

Depends on the hotel, some will serve you a small plastic cup of draught beer, the one I went to in Mexico gave you bottles or pints, whichever you preferred.

It's not really free is it?

All inclusives have a bad reputation but there is a world of difference between them.

I'm going through a bit of a schwarz/dunkel Bier phase at the moment. On my trips to Bavaria I used to drink plenty of Erdinger Dunkel, but my favourite is Stoertebeker Schwarzbier sold by my local specialist beer & ale shop. I'll probably revert to a 'ruby ale phase' once Autumn kicks in though.

I got a £1.50 off Bavaria voucher for Tesco so I ended up getting 4 x 330ml bottles of 2.8% Bavaria for 50p! Is it any good though?

I'll tell you in a couple days!
