Women controlling the supply of sex
I had a conversation with a friend of mine who is female about how much easier it is for women to get sex then it is for a men and I was explaining that an average looking women could easily have sex with a different man each day if she desired. For a man to be capable of this he either needs to be very attractive or very rich and or very famous and she was having non of this at all. This is a topic I have discussed with a few women and they all claim that its the same for male and female are they lying or can they just genuinely not see it.

Re: Women controlling the supply of sex
Surveys on the topic suggest that the openness to casual sex is determined by the probability of achieving orgasm. For men, this is almost guaranteed. For women, not so much if they're sleeping with men. However, the same survey found that bisexual or homosexual women were about as likely as men to say yes to casual proposals by other women.
Women say no because we're **** at making them cum, for the most part. -
Re: Women controlling the supply of sex
1) It may be easier for women to get laid, but women generally have a lower sex drive than men, so it evens out, since they're less likely to have a string of cheap lays.
2) Start ****ing men.
3) Masturbate.
4) Try doing a jigsaw puzzle to take your mind of it.Last edited by faber niger; 16-04-2012 at 14:08. -

Re: Women controlling the supply of sexEvidence? All the research I've seen confirms that general assumption.(Original post by FrigidSymphony)
Utter nonsense.
Or are women just so oppressed by patriarchy that they rarely get to express their true desire?
EDIT: Also, you can't make generalisations about all women on results that are only applicable to homosexual women, since so few women are homosexual.Last edited by faber niger; 16-04-2012 at 14:05. -
Re: Women controlling the supply of sexThat's really interesting actually. Throws a new light on the common perception that women have lower sex drives too.(Original post by FrigidSymphony)

Re: Women controlling the supply of sexWomen have sex drives just as high as ours, they're just turned on by different triggers.(Original post by jismith1989)

Re: Women controlling the supply of sex

True Story.
Relative sex drives: Bi men > gay men > straight men > women
Motivating 'evolutionary' factors in sex: Men = mate widely, women = secure a mate to stick around while they're carrying/after they pop their young out
Relative attitudes to casual sex: Men = lower degree of emotionality involved in intimacy, higher degree of self satisfaction guaranteed
Ok in a sense women do hold most of the cards in this domain thanks to the above but them's the breaks. If you can't stand the heat..

Re: Women controlling the supply of sex
I would have thought it's because men can have multiple children with different women but a woman can only have one child biologically (obviously you get twins etc) so they are more likely to limit sexual activity. Nowadays with contraception this counteracts this but potentially it is still inbuilt into us to choose the best mate?

Re: Women controlling the supply of sexWomen do have a lower sex drive, but I don't think thats a major contributor to the fact that they are less likely to have sexual encounters with men(Original post by jismith1989)

Re: Women controlling the supply of sex
The reason it's harder for men to get sex is because women are taught by society, that it is somehow "admirable" to withhold sex, and repress their sexuality because then they will be viewed as harder to attain, or more "pure" or something, and therefore more valuable on the market.
They have also been taught to think that having sex promiscuously makes them worth less as women, is something to be ashamed of, or is "dirty" or "immoral". This is useful because it gives men the dominance, to be able to sleep with as many people as they want to not without prejudice or discrimination but not allow women the same privilege. The social pressure and stigma placed on women to conform to these ideals allows them to be more effectively controlled as sexual objects and property by men.
The word 'slut' allows people to shame women who don't wish to conform to their moralising, and makes them feel better about themselves because it lowers their perceived value in society and damages their reputation. It also makes men feel better because they use it for someone who will sleep around with anyone but themselves.
The idea that women have lower sex drives is a myth. They are taught that it is wrong to crave sex because it is 'slutty', back in the Victorian age women weren't even allowed to admit that they enjoyed sex. Women can't even feel comfortable admitting that they routinely masturbate, even though it is proven that they are now large consumers of porn and vibrators. -

Re: Women controlling the supply of sex
If you think about it as a system. Lets make some simplifying assumptions. Each night one man and one woman can have sex. And each night men and women meet up to find sex. The supply of women being W. And the supply of men being M.
Each night the amount of sex will be equal to either W or M, which ever one is smaller.
Quantity of Sex = W if W < M
or
Quantity of Sex = M if M < W
The amount of people with no sex is equal to either W-M or M-W (depending on which is greater)
If it is the case that it is easier for women to get laid then that means that less women must be turning up to get laid. The solution to this problem for men is to increase the supply of women. Which probably means it is a good idea for said men to promote promiscuous behavior. Calling girls sluts and what not is completely counter productive.
