Model House of Lords Establishment Committee
As many of you may be aware already, the government has deemed it appropriate to establish a committee to look into the creating a Model House of Lords (MHoL), to be fronted by me.
It has been decided by the government that the best way to go about this committee is to invite two MP's from every party to sit on the committee, with these MP's being split up into five groups of two, each of which is to research into a different topic, as well as have the ability to interview whoever they wish. At the end of their allotted time, they are to present a report to the rest of the committee to debate.
In addition, myself and a deputy to be appointed at a later date will help these MP's, as well as serve as permanent members of the interview board.
All party leaders and Metrobeans have been informed of the decision, and I am currently waiting for a list of all MP's to serve on the committee.
This is the following timetable:

Re: Model House of Lords Establishment Committee
Although I appreciate that this is still in the initial planning stages, I should advise you that the admins will want to know what the sub-forum will be used for in order to consider whether they will give us one or not. If you could write up a brief summary of what you expect it to be used for by Friday, I can take that to the admins when we meet at the end of the week.

Re: Model House of Lords Establishment CommitteeYou can have a second chamber without a monarchy.(Original post by tehFrance)
This will be an extremely interesting discussion however what if the monarchy is removed in the referendum and thus the HoL will be a bit redundant no? -
Re: Model House of Lords Establishment CommitteeYes but we wouldn't have lords anymore would we? so it would have to be something else if you wanted it.(Original post by xXedixXx)
