    Job Seekers Allowance
    I am a single mum and a full time student. can i claim job seekers allowance for summer months when uni finishes in july till i start again in september

    Whilst you are in full time education, im guessing you cannot claim JSA.

    The student loan that comes through is meant to cover the summer as well, so no.

    Jobseeker's Allowance
    Full-time students
    If you’re studying full time, you may be able to claim Jobseeker's Allowance during the summer holiday if one of the following apply:
    you're a single parent who is responsible for a child or young person

    Though I swear I read somewhere on there at some point that you can claim JSA as well.

    I think you can only claim after the final day of term - regardless of when you actually finish. You may need to check with uni when this date is.
