    Biology question help!
Hi, I am stuck with this question..

    can anyone help?
I did an experiment to measure pulse rate after exercise and had to measure pulse rate every 30 seconds.. I dont know why we had to do this though.

why did you take 30 second intervals after exercise to measure your pulse rate in your experiment?

There is nothing special about the 30 second interval... it is probably just a regular interval for you to record it so you can later measure changes to see its change in rate. It could have quite easily been measure after a 45 secs, a minute or even every 75 seconds etc... completely arbitrary. Through obviously the more regularly you measure it, the more representative your data will be.

To see how quick your heart rate returns to normal after exercise.

So you can see a change in rate easier as it's unlikely to be a straight line. It could have been any interval within reason.
