Cailleux index of roundness confusion?

I was wondering what the formula for calculating cailleux index of roundness is, because I originally started off by multiplying by 100, then my teacher told me that it was 1000 and that the book I was using was wrong. But everywhere I look it says it should be multiplied by 100? Any idea which is the right one?
