Is 200 UCAS points way too low to do a 3 year BSc Degree?
I am so disgusted and angry at myself for the terrible grades I got at A Level and I don't blame anyone but myself. I have got myself into such a difficult situation. I was so very lucky to do a Radiography degree back in 2008 when I just left school but I failed that.
And now to cut a long story short I am on the verge of panic. I have been looking at Uni's that can offer me a 3 year any science related degree at 200 UCAS points but the lowest it goes is 240. I am so worried, is there any uni's that will take a grade E in Chemistry, D in Biology & C in Psychology? -
Re: Is 200 UCAS points way too low to do a 3 year BSc Degree?
how did u get on the radiography degree? have the requirements increased?
I suggest you look at HNCs and HNDs in subjects you like often they have low requirements as low as 40 ucas points or a single E
you can top up the HND if you get good grades to a full degree however you need to check they allow this.
can you still be funded because you have already been to uni?Last edited by Yellow_Watermelon; 18-04-2012 at 18:50. -

Foundation years can help...........but the problem is that some uni's are even stingy on your grades for foundation as well :/(Original post by tooosh)

University and Academia is obviously not for you, try something else! -
Re: Is 200 UCAS points way too low to do a 3 year BSc Degree?I'd look into HND/HNC's which are basically like the first couple of years of a degree, that if you complete you can apply to go into 3rd year of a regular degree, which combined will equal a full degree. I think that's what they are anyway, it's something like that. They have lower entry requirements anyway.(Original post by DreamKitty)

Or you could look at a foundation degree?
If you don't find those any use, maybe look into re-sitting a couple of A-Levels? Doing that doesn't necessarily mean going back to college. -
Re: Is 200 UCAS points way too low to do a 3 year BSc Degree?I have to agree with Rennit here. Are you sure a degree is for you? If you have low A level grades and have failed a degree previously, are you sure that you would be successful at a degree?(Original post by Rennit)
I'd seek alternative paths.

I don't want to seem a party pooper, but it is worth baring in mind before you invest time, effort and money into this.
