Just failed, again - 2nd time
Only 1 minor but i got a major on a manoeuvre - same reason i failed the first time
I'm sure you'll get it next time!

Which manoeuvre was it? -
Re: The Ultimate "I failed my driving test!" Thread -MK IIleft reverse around the curb(Original post by RyJ)

Re: The Ultimate "I failed my driving test!" Thread -MK IIYeah, that one is pretty tricky. I don't like parallel parking very much, personally.(Original post by Troubleinparadise.)
left reverse around the curb
I'm sure you'll manage next time! I'd think you'd get a different manoeuvre if you had to do the same one twice...

Re: The Ultimate "I failed my driving test!" Thread -MK II
Failed second time today, had only 6 minors and 1 major which I was so stupid to let happen. I was about to turn right, I got everything right i.e speed, position and looked into the road I was gonna turn but stupid me, I didnt look ahead to see oncoming cars and the examiner hit the brakes. Was so pissed off with myself. I have never made that mistake at all before. Oh well back to the drawing board again. Cant believe i made such a mistake.

Hey guys I'm feeling down today , just failed my 3rd test was going 40mph in national speed limit area. And I didn't check mirror on roundabout change direction so two majors. I'm so depressed I go 2 steps forward and 5 back I wish I could just pass. Don't no whether to go to test centre closer to me . Or same one I'm losing confidence.

Re: The Ultimate "I failed my driving test!" Thread -MK IISo sorry about that. When I failed my first test, I cried like a new baby being born, cried my life away, swore I would never drive again. But then, you now know what the test will be like. Chin up. You will be fine. I know it cost alot but it will be worth it all in the end. When you get your license, it will not say how many times you failed, just that you are a competent driver. It will be all worth it in the end. So sorry about not passing.(Original post by Cheddar)
Failed my first test today
trying so hard not to cry. 2 majors and 6 minors.
I think I'm more annoyed about the wasted money to be honest. -
Re: The Ultimate "I failed my driving test!" Thread -MK IIAww thanks, I know all this yeti'm still annoyed at myself for failing. Anyway onwards and upwards from now, don't want to wait too long until my next test or else i'll have to do the theory again.(Original post by quanyin)

Re: The Ultimate "I failed my driving test!" Thread -MK II
Failed 2nd time, turned left off a main road into a smaller road. There was a learner driver going about 10 mph on the other side of the road and he braked when he saw me. The fault was that I turned 'too aggressively' and startled the learner driver. I had 4 minors all of them which were for some form of 'aggressive driving'. I'm not upset though because I feel I drove absolutely fine, especially considering it was a 12pm on a Saturday and I was made to drive through the busiest part of town and up the high street. No minors for anything like mirror checks, lane discipline etc. The first time I failed I had no faults for aggressive driving and I thought I was less careful then, feel a bit like I got fleeced for 70 quid!

Failed for the first time today. Had an examiner who I SWEAR was Agent Smith from the Matrix (you know, the "Mr Aaaandersoon" guy)! I would complain that he was trying to play with my mind with his matrix-ways, but to be fair that driving on the wrong side of the road was all my fault.

Sounds like you have a good attitude though, book it again!
Why were you on the wrong side? :P -

I'd love to book again ASAP, but I'm lacking in funds at the moment, and with Results Day coming up I have no idea which part of the country I'll be in (the next available test dates here are in October! Crazy!!)
Well, the examiner asked me to turn right at the traffic-lights, which were around a bit of a bend, so I could see them but not much of the road. And so I just full-on merged into the right-hand lane without thinking!
Luckily there was nothing coming, but of course it was a fail! Was a little embarassing when the examiner had to remind me to stay on the correct side of the road.

And oh yeah, sorta forgot how much it costs to book the test. Worried If I dont pass how I will afford lessons and test up until the next date!
Any tips, test is in a few days! Was you really nervous? And did you find you were really focussed and it went quite quickly? -

I was really nervous, but my instructor gave me this stuff called Rescue Remedy to calm me down - seemed to work, would recommend it if you get nervous easily like me (provided you're not allergic to the ingredients or anything)!
Personally, I thought the time went really quickly, but it was a little difficult to stay focused I thought, because of the whole 'this-is-the-real-thing-don't-screw-this-up' exam pressure! But now that I think about it, I realize that I'll have the chance to do it again sometime. Also, now that I've been on a proper exam I know I'll feel much more confident next time! Just gotta do some saving!
I guess I'd just say stay calm and look like you know what you're doing so the examiner feels safer! Just watch out for bikes and things too, and I think you should be fine!
Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
