    Hi fellow Indonesians !
Im going there in Sept! Just wondering anyone heard about Warwick's Foundation?
Aku bakal ambil foundation nanti, and im just curious about how's life there? Susah gak ya cari temen dll nya? Is it hard to make friends in your first week of school? Is it going to be a big difference from life in Jakarta?

It's different, but I love it. It's amazing.

Kamu tidak akan ada pembantu/supir/rumah besar tapinya kamu bisa jalan jalan tanpa kena motor.

Don't be, there are several others who will be in your shoes. Just be open, keep the door in your dorm open (have some candy/booze) there to be social for that week or so.

DO NOT HANG OUT WITH ASIANS ONLY- always make sure you have a blend of friends so you can get to know the English culture ect and integrate better.

I'm guessing you're female? You will have a load of drunk guys hitting on you- be weary or take it how you want.

I'm not the introverted type of girl, it's just the language barrier that keeps me so nervous . Ahh, are the local people there friendly enough? I'm afraid they don't want to be friend with Asians.

Yeahh I'm female anw, where do you live?

I speak fluent English to begin with but it takes some time to understand the accent(s).

Don't be worried about it, the language barrier does effect some people but you should be alright. Most people will find it interesting that you come from Indo; trust me! Just tell them about this place and you'll see amazement in their eyes.

I'm in London and it's not as friendly as say, Birmingham ect. Warwick/Coventry should be extremely welcoming.

My friends are mixed- Pakistanis/English/Scottish/Irish/Canadian/Malaysian ect.

gue aja 3 bulanan utk visa. mengilakan..
but don't worry about it too much, you'll have more imp things to do.
Flight, round trip (1 year valid) or one way?
I usually use Emirates (abt 1600 usd.. 1year... they have a program giving 1200-1300 for 4 months starting sept 2012 to dec 2012- also baggage is 30 kg per person). Qatar is also good.

I'm not sure if you can actually live at the embassy, it's rather tiny. But DO NOT forget to register your address with the embassy!!! you never know when you will loose your KTP/passport.

Also, KTP (not the e-ktp) is a good way to get into clubs! (rather than ppsprt)

    Thank you Nadia.

It wasn't awkward, it just took some time for me to try to fathom what they were saying. I'm usually around my bule friends and do not have that problem- some of the english accents were very thick.. in 8 months, I seem to have developed that accent too!

It's like most of them haven't heard much of Indo, but have for Malaysia/China/Philippines..

Also, just make sure you don't forget Indo- it's a complete bitch when you understand, but cannot speak as fluently as before. Talk to friends (even the Malay ones!!!).. I had a Singa friend who spoke some, and it got interesting..

I won't lie that my Indo isn't as good as it used to be, but talking helps.

Sure, I wouldn't mind. Just PM me if you have more questions.

    Permanent addy- halls!
I'm not sure abt the other airlines as I like my baggage allowance (hello cheaper indo stuff)... But get clothes over there! Qualitas di jkt kurang bagus untuk tempat yg dingin dan basa...

It took 3 months because of some bank account money screw up- and a joint account with people who aren't your parents won't work with the embassy.. I have crazy finances. Seriously.
