What AS Subject should I drop?
I am currently studying AS Level and am wondering which subject I should drop for A2. I currently study Maths, Physics, Computing and Economics.
I would like to go on to study Computer Science at hopefully Cambridge, Imperial, York, Durham or Manchester.
On all University Computer Science pages, it specifically mentions that they do not require you to study Computing to take the degree. In fact, they say that they would rather you do Maths, Further Maths or a science instead.
I really enjoy Maths and Physics so would not like to drop them so the toss up is between Economics and Computing.
Which one of those do you think I should drop?
Thanks -
Re: What AS Subject should I drop?
Do you need to drop a subject? You're applying to some top universities who will, as suggested above, question why you've dropped the subject you want to take - unless, of course, you plan to replace it with a more useful subject, such as Further Maths.
But if you must drop a subject, then Economics seems to be the obvious choice. -
Re: What AS Subject should I drop?I would like to drop one and then as you say, maybe do AS Further Maths for a 4th subject.(Original post by TGH1)

Thanks for everyone's input
I will send a few emails to admissions tutors and see what they suggest as well.
At the moment I'm probably leaning towards dropping Computing.
