I might be going to study at IE University in Madrid (or Segovia? not sure what to choose) later this year and well, I don't really know if Spain is a good choice for me (considering the ongoing crisis and the fact that my Spanish is absolute zero).

So any advice would be appreciated.
I wouldn't go there unless you had absolutely no other choice. (This is coming from someone that lived there before the crisis.)

    q vas a estudiar?
It depends where you go in London , from my experience Madrid was bigger.

Anyway, London universities > Spanish universities.

Actually UK has Cambridge which is the best in the world. And UK universities are much more reputable.

    Hello Spanish members!

although I have not a Spanish descent (as you can see concerning my German flag in my comment profile), I have two questions about Spanish economy/politics nevertheless: I had heard that the unemployment rate is over 25% in Spain and even over 50% (!) by the young people, although there are many of them who have a degree, university degree, doctoral degree and so on.

Is that true what I have seen in German TV?
Why are so many people with best qualifications unemployed in Spain?

And what is the reason? I request to the answer, because I'm sure such similar cases will be happen here in Germany in the following time.

I am unsure but I think it has something to do with the Euro. Countries with their own monetary system do not seem to be in such dire straights. Greece is considering eliminating the Euro in their country and I'm sure others will follow.
