"When I feed the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor are hungry, they call me a communist."

Would modernised communism and socio-political and socio-financial enhancements help us to restructure the economical attainments that we are striving to achieve? Surely the ideologies of communism would solve many problems that we currently face. As human species we have evolved intellectually, we now acknowledge many factors that stand in the way of political, social and financial reform. I believe modernised communism would help us to expand our moral and ethical mindsets. Poverty would drastically disintegrate and social equality would be something that would improve mankind.

I feel like I need to hire whyumadtho as an interpreter for this rambling mess of ****

For your question, I'll go with no because you seem like a jackass and as such your idea is likely to be terrible.

You have never met me and you never will, therefore you cannot make a judgement of whether I am a 'jackass'. People on these forums are degenerates, complete and utter morons who have nothing constructive to say. All you do is offend people and use derogatory language which is quite disgusting if I'm being honest. Get a grip for God's sake.

Mate seriously, why do you feel the need to be so futile? Don't you have anything better to contribute? It's frustrating when people can't even proceed with a productive argument.

What do you mean by modernised communism? Presumerably you don't mean communism at all, you mean socialism. Communism is the abolition of private property in order to establish the commons. It would not be as much reform as revolution.

Socialism could probably help many of the problems, the issue is firstly, to quote Marx, the government exists to perpetuate the desires of the dominate economic class. I'd call this exaggeration, but certainly they have enormous influence over government policy, if only by the threat of moving industry abroad. Secondly, socialism needs rebranding.

I agree that he needs to explain what he means by modernised communism. If he means it is just going to get a sexy new logo and a fashionable celeb to endorse the it will still fundamentally be an abomination.

Anyway just out of interest what do you mean by Socialism? There was a time when Socialism meant for the state to own (all) the means of production. Communism was supposed to go further with the abolition of the State and the occurrence of a classless society where private property was abolished.

I supposed it is to the great credit of Socialism in that its obscurantism means nobody really knows what it means so it is hard to attack.

I get the impression now that it generally refers to any state economic planning or organisation which is ostensibly for the 'common good', which actually means nothing specific because the 'common good' is an open ended opinion.
