Mp3 player won't show up on the computer

Mp3 player won't show up on the computerJust bought an Archos 15b vision off Gumtree, and it's already got quite a few albums on it so it clearly worked before. Now when I connect it by mini USB it has the file sharing symbol for maybe 5 seconds, then goes straight to charging, and won't show up on the computer (tried it on 2 computers too)
The archos itself isn't registering it's connected, I tried to update it through the mp3 player's controls while it was plugged in and it said "Plug in USB".
Any ideas?
