Hello my corrupted Adams and Eves, my dearest children of the adopted variety, I am certain you've heard of me so an introduction on my part would be redundant would it not? For better or worse, I have decided to create this blog to amuse myself in the duller hours in the endless abyss of suffering and despair that I call home -- I mean hell. Now if you thirst for a taste of my repertoire of endless knowledge go on, don't be shy dear, ask away. Whether it be sciences, arts or my riveting personal life which piques your curiosity, it shall be satisfied.

IIRC it means bearer/bringer of light, it's probably Latin.

Well, I have at least a dozen names but when I was created God dubbed me Lucifer. Now if you want to go into the roots of the name, it has to do with light, which symbolizes knowledge...now think of the Tree of Knowledge and poor little Eve. I think you get the picture.

On Earth I go by Stan.

Actually Michael and I are just barely in the same galaxy and plane of existence. I suppose God was merciful after all. Unless you're referring to some sort of kinky sexual fantasy in which I am in a cage with Michael...in that case, you are indeed an odd child.

Now there's an assumption. All human hosts are about the same to me, my choice is usually strategic however. For an Archangel who had to take the body of a snake, I've stopped being choosy.

Is that what you humans think he looks like? In any case, good for him, finally getting his name out there and on mainstream television. You creatures are indeed amusing.

Are you happy with your portrayal in Milton's epic Paradise Lost? Did you agree to this kind of publicity, or did you just influence Milton?

One is with devils, the other is with humans or half-human half-plastic creatures would be my guess.

I am positively thrilled with it, out of all the canonical portrayals I have come across his would be the most factual, not to mention artistic. You would be lying to yourself if you didn't sympathize with my plight throughout the entire work (although towards the end I shall admit things went somewhat downhill).
I would like to think of myself more as his benevolent muse rather than a self-interested manipulative force trying to counteract some of the damage done by centuries of --how shall I put it...misunderstandings?

My body can take on any form or gender, along with the shoe size. I like to mix it up every few decades depending on the fashion. I am currently a size 8.

Do you believe that the character of Simon in "The Lord of the Flies" is intended to be seen as a martyr, Christ-like figure in the novella? Although many books and reviews on the subject says so, I don't agree, based on the fact that the situation of the erosion of civilisation and uprising of savagery only worsened by his death.

Let me put it this way: did the erosion of civilization and rampant savagery not continue after Christ as well?

Well apparently Christ was sent to atone for our sins and to cleanse the world.

"Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death -- that is, the devil." (Heb. 2:14) - To die and destroy Satan's power.

    Civilisation certainly did not worsen.
