    Hmm.

    I missed one last year for a funeral, but just sat it the next day when I got back.

    But that was a legitimate reason.

    Funerals don't tend to be on Saturdays...

    I guess you'd have to pull the illness card or family emergency?

    Bit risky. Especially if you've been seen around college looking fine.

    To be honest collections are just part of Oxford life, and I'd be missing my trip to sit it because it's not worth the hassle to not.

    I would just not turn up and say you forgot, then offer to do it at another time. These things happen. Ultimately, they are for your own benefit so by missing one you are only harming yourself. Elaborate lies aren't necessary.
