Premier League - Scam fear over PFA young player award
    Tis a pretty strange one.

Bookmakers fear they could be the victims of a betting sting after large sums were placed on outsider Kyle Walker to win PFA Young Player of the Year.

The Tottenham full-back opened as a 33-1 rank outsider for the award but a string of big bets saw him move quickly to 5-6 favourite before most of the high street bookies closed the market.

"Enough is enough. After punters began trying to get £1000 bets on Kyle Walker to win Young PFA Player of Year we've closed the market," said William Hill media relations director Graham Sharpe on Twitter.

Overrated to hell anyway. Better than Johnson and Richards? My arse. Johnson played LB and showed him up for 90 minutes.

    What are the nominees again?

    Bale
    Aguero
    Walker
    Welbeck
    Oxlade-Chamberlain
    ?

Ox and Welbeck haven't been playing regularly. Aguero has been hit and miss. Bale over-hyped as always. Walker wouldn't be THAT surprising, would be weir to see a RB win it though.

    28 games isnt playing regularly?

Award should easily be Agueros, even if i dont agree that he should be allowed to be nominated.

Did the Argentina Nigeria match resolve? Remember it was a dodgy Argentina with Mauro Boselli up front :8 and did Nigeria not win 4-1 with a dodgy penalty in the 90- minute....all after large bets had been placed on 4-1?

    22 starts i think
Dont believe he should get it either btw. But ill be happy aslong as Ox doesnt win it

Aguero or Bale should get it really but i dont agree that players of their age should be allowed to be involved anyway.

I'm not even suprised. Betting may influence football more than we think.

Has to be Hart, best keeper in the league, English and a regular starter, they should love him. Not the Ox, not Bale........

Please do some research before spouting off. Hart isn't even up for the award as he's too old.

But kudos for being ignorant in complete and utter bliss.

Oh right then, well I apologise to Joe Hart for incorrectly putting him up for the award, as you can see above I recalled 5 and couldn't remember the sixth.

So yes, I made a mistake, no need to be so irritated

If Aguero is nominated, he'll get it.

Johnson's better than both of them imo. Quite an underrated footballer in fact.
