I'm on day 5 of the 30 day shred and still struggling. I still can't do all of the push-ups (knee ones) and squat and press'. Getting a bit stressed out that i still cant do it al without stopping for breaks. Oh well, I've lost 5 pounds though!

I like reading your blog, really giving me an idea of whats to come. Also since I read you had piri piri chicken ive decided to have it for dinner!
Squat and press was a killer! I substituted planks for push ups in section 1. Definitely does get easier the more you do, although the step up to level 2 and 3 is hard, worth it though!

I've just done day 5 and admittedly it is getting easier now although I still have like no arm strength whatsoever! What weights do you recommend for level 2? I'm using 1.5kg for level 1. Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you weigh at the start and how much have you lost so far? You don't have to answer, its a pretty personal question!

By the end of level was I was using 1.5k, then level 2 and 3 I've just been using 1kg, although there are fewer weight exercises. Yeah I agree, the arm strength is such an issue!

I would have no issue answering that apart from my mum never allowed us to have scales in the house from when I became a teenager onwards and even now I'm at uni I still don't weigh myself because I've kinda got it drilled into me that weight doesn't mean anything really and you shouldn't be obsessing over it. Hence why I've been taking photos so that I can see the change happening!

Yes! I hate weight exercises with a passion ha! I do agree that weight doesnt matter that much. Mainly i want to get smaller rather than lighter. I've taken my measurements around my waist, thigh and arm to see if i lose any inches by the end

Day 20 - My exercise was bouncy castle and dancing in the club food had eggy bread then pizza...and then chicken nuggets post night out.

Day 21 - Well I only got to sleep at 7am so only woke up at 3pm, then had Nandos for brunner (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and raspberries for desert. Shall exercise again tomorrow :yep:

Oh dear, I've been so bad at updating!

I'll measure and photo tomorrow although don't think much change from second set of photos tbh.

Thanks hun! I'm sure over the summer I'll drop a bit more so I'll keep updating, but if I get my job back not only will I be having awful food but will have to drop to 1 day of exercise a week.

Re: GEG attempts the 30 Day Shred...
I think the most important thing about 30 Day Shred is just to keep going. I dropped it after about day 15 as I lost motivation, but keeping a callendar of how long you have left of each level can really help.

When I was on it I didn't have the time either, and ended up 30DSing at 3am several times... Can only imagine what my neighbour below me in halls thought I was doing

Anyway. Keep it up, second pic was looking way better. Do you use MFP? Makes tracking your calorie intake and the healthiness of your meals way easier

TBH I don't want to be an obsessive calorie counter, I think that is more damaging than good in most cases, so I pretty much just eat what I would like and try to make it healthier.

Re: GEG attempts the 30 Day Shred...
I have started this and I am currently on day 8 using 1kg weights I had no idea what weights to use so I just bought them thinking they would be okay?

I HATE strength, and its typical that it is the longest section out of the three. I can't do push ups either - my arms just don't function properly, its like they just can't bend in that way.

Anything to do with legs hurts! But I have noticed I have got better with squats etc and over time it has got a lot easier but I am getting very bored. And the more bored I am, the more I think about the pain.

Do you have any final photos?

    Thanks for keeping us updated

Glad I'm not the only who finds push ups just not physically possible :five:

Switch up to level 2 if you're bored with level 1 :yep:

Gonna try and take some final photos today but currently in middle of packing up room for end of year so may not happen for a wee while...within the next three days I'll hopefully have some up!

Finished it and felt really good, but then haven't done anything for like 2 weeks and weight really has come back on, whoops! Going to try and start another one of her dvds soon :yep:

It's defs easier to motivated when you've got other people to tell about it.
