Battle of the Movies
Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Re: Battle of the MoviesI'm not the only one who thinks that. Epic battles, fairly tedious in between. The action is good, the special effects are good and Smeagol is great. On the other hand the characters are predictable and wooden, the movies are too long and baggy (people walking and walking and walking, and the ending is the longest in movie history; I see why Jack Nicholson walked out because I too was thinking "omg will this ever end?"). I got bored at many points and often it became a chore. When I first watched LOTR I gave it a 7/10 mainly due to the groundbreaking special effects at the time, and it remains as that.(Original post by alexio91)

30 Minutes or Less already has 56 points. Are people forgetting the point of this a bit?
