I need a Latin tutor in London

I'm desperate for a Latin tutor.

I live in London and am looking for someone to help me gain an A* at A-level. Does anyone know of anyone good (or is anyone here a good tutor)?

    Thanks!

If Boris Johnson doesn't win the Mayoral election, he'll be available.

If only! Although I think he'll still be available even if he wins...

    Salve!

I've been doing some langauge tutoring on- and offline since I graduated (with a first in classics). Obviously, I don't live in London, but if you're interested, we could go through some things over Skype or some other such software. I'm very happy to work through your set texts with you, or look at grammar, or try some writing exercises or do more or less anything else that you feel would be useful for you. If you have any questions, just ask; feel free to PM me too.

    James

EDIT: And I think it's fair to say that an hour with me would be markedly cheaper than Sunday sessions with Boris! I can't promise that it'd be quite so entertaining, but I can try.

Thanks for the offer! Not quite sure if Skype is quite the same as tutoring in person but I'm willing to give it a try!

Okay, so if you're willing to muddy your boots and see how it goes, send me your e-mail address and we can work out a time to start. Is there anything you feel you especially need help with or do you just want some general practise? Which texts are you studying btw?

The price I've been charging thus far is £18/hour, but it's worth nothing that that does include the time I put into preparing things outside of the hour, which usually takes up at least another hour, so in reality it works out at only about half that.

Talk to a University that offers Latin- see if they could suggest someone.

I'm doing Catullus and Tacitus. The unseen authors are Ovid (elegiacs) and Caesar.
I've sent you a pm by the way.
