My friend collected badges (those fabric ones that look a bit like scout/ guide badges) to sew onto a blanket. I thought that was a nice idea Surprising how many cities around the world actually sell them as well!

When we go to america, I usually collect a number plate for each state that we've been to. Other countries, its usually sand, currency, or something that represents that country: like a painted cow-bell from switzerland or hand painted wall tiles from spain.

I guess the most collectable item I acquire from travelling abroad are pressed coins. You know the ones where you put 50p/cents/whatevers into a machine along with a 1p/cent/whatever and the 1p is pressed with a logo of the place you've visited. I make a habit of collecting those wherever I see them (usually in America), but that's not very often.

I like to pick up useful souvenirs. I went to Marrakech recently and came back with a robe from one of the souks, similar to ones that Moroccans walk around in during the day. I'm using it as a light dressing gown - it's really comfy!

I always keep all tickets, no matter what they were for and any tourist leaflets. Also I always keep the money I have when i get back, my favourite is the plastic 10 Hong Kong dollar
HK money is the best. I still have a $20 note left over from Chinese New Year from when I lived there.

Unfortunately, nothing. I have travelled so much in the last 2 years and I regret not having brought souvenirs from some of them.
I'm into landscape photography and do have many pictures from each trip though.

I have a box at home, which has everything I have collected from my holiday's (other countries).

I collect anything what I can get; leaflets, flyers, tickets/receipts, boarding tickets, fridge magnets, magazines, straws, currency, beer mats, booklets, things from the beach etc. I can go on. Also, I like to collect things from the plane and both airports.

To be fair, it is an impressive collection, and I'm running out of space for this year... I always start to tidy the box up and want to bin certain things, but I never do!
