    Boarding School Suggestions- Any Country.
I'm fourteen years old and my family will potentially become expats in the near future. I am meant to be looking into boarding school options.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    I have three basic requirements:

Firstly, the school must cater to girls, by either being co-ed or a single sex girls school.

Secondly, it must teach in English, or have that option.

Thirdly, wait lists should preferably be less than one year/eighteen months.
For the purposes of this question, I'll say money no object but please put an asterisk next to schools with annual fees over $50 000 US/ 30 000 pounds.

If you are a boarder or have boarded in the past, could you mention any experiences with your school?

I have no specifications on country- it doesn't matter, France, China, England, Scotland, Australia, Canada- wherever!

    Thanks for your suggestions.

    Edit:

Thanks so far for the replies. Also, I realize I may have been a little confusing putting USD in there- I'm not American.

One more question: Will moving from the southern hemisphere (school year Jan-Dec) to the northern affect my ability to gain entrance to a school?

If you want to be a Doctor apparently Epsom College has a good history getting people into medicine.

    Sevenoaks - UK
    Ashbury - Canada
    Appleby - Canada
    Hotchkiss - USA
    UWC Atlantic -UK?
    Phillip's Exeter - USA
    L'érmitage - France

No experience as a boarder, but I've interacted with and even competed against people from all these schools and they struck me as first rate.

Biggest disappointment was Deerfield. Trust-fund meets severe mental retardation.

I go to a school that provides boarding but will stop in 2 years so thats probably no use, so perhaps this one is good. Its about 20 mins from my school.

Stamford High School has a good reputation, but my school always see the girls as quite bitchy. Its all girls from age 11-16, but once you are in Sixth Form its co-ed and there is also a boys school if you have any siblings. Plus is you don't wear Abercrombie or Jack Wills (which you may have never heard of), you will probably be an outsider. This by the way is not one of the best private schools in the country.

Its in a nice, posh area, a historical georgian town, i believe and is quite picturesque.

I believe the best school in Cambridgeshire is the Perse School in Cambridge.

These two school's fees will not go over budget, in fact quite under as its around £4000 a term(i believe what you call a semester, but only there are 3 of them rather than 2) so around £12,000 a year, so about $19-20000.

Really? This school was recommended to me (but the person recommending it had never been there). They said it was very beautiful with small class sizes- but obviously that isn't everything.

    Did you go there?

Thanks for the reply. On their website I couldn't find anything about boarding for girls my age, is it by any chance only sixth form? If so, is there a good 'filler' school you know where I could go in-between?
