Read that! Stop downloading music!

Figures seen by the Guardian show a one-third decline in sales, from 52.5m in 2002 to 35.9m last year. The drop is mirrored by a "disturbing" increase in illegal in ternet downloads. But albums continue to rise in popularity, which means the total value of record sales remained steady.

http://www.grammy.ru is a very good site. The homepage is in russian, but in the top right hand corner is an 'MP3' link. Click on that and navigation is easy. They have loads of songs, and the RIAA wont be able to find you, unlike when you use kazaa

The Single's Chart has always been a huge con- its not all down to internet downloading. Until the sites that do charge money get their act together and provide a decent service then I'm not going to pay. Just because its illegal doesn't mean its wrong.

Just warning for your own good. I certainly won't miss the constant stream of shite coming out of record companies when they all go bust

I haven't bought a CD since Radiohead's Hail to the Thief.

I'm pretty sure it's only for mp3's. The site sometimes gets really busy making downloads difficult, but keep going and you'll get what you're after. They have some really rare stuff too.
