    Freshman or transfer
Am slightly confused as to whether I need to apply as freshman or transfer applicants?

I asked a few unis and they said having done A-levels you can transfer some credits.
A few of them told me to tick freshman! am I right thinking we apply as freshman and then they transfer the credits at later stage and "Transfer applicants" is only for people who are doing a degree in UNI?

PS: I've done my A-levels-applying to US unis for undergrad!

Unless you've actually attended a university, you are a freshman applicant.

Although A-levels, IB, AP, etc. provide college credit (i.e. they'll get you out of certain intro classes), they don't count as attending college for admissions purposes.
