    What's wrong with leicester?
In all fairness, it is not as bad as they make it out to be. However, there are nicer places to go.

love crap towns, theres something about the desperation and dispair that seems to attract me to them. My friend once said "nothing reeks of desperation like a iceland chicken pie" and i guess that statement sums it up. This sites pretty funny too http://www.chavtowns.co.uk/

The comments are hilarious too, especially the ones where they are trying to defend said city, yet all they are doing is emphasising how crap it really is!

I know! I looked at the comments on the Leicester review. They aren't doing themselves any favours!

    Bridgend.

Fat people, dole bums, mass suicides, outdated, vandalised buildings, high crime, high drug use.
Quote from Chavtowns - A town that, over the years, has descended into a primitive mess of chav culture. A particular haunt is the ‘Argos-Peacocks-Wilkinson’ triangle, where teenage mothers with bad skin blow lambert and butler smoke merrily over their malnourished offspring and where “uberchav” grandmothers in their late thirties exchange tales of pub glassings at high volume while their elizabeth duke bling pointlessly rattles.

    Eastbourne is a dump.

Written verbatim from someone who lives there. (Not me!)

    Ah, Sussex

    Hastings

"...the finest public buildings are two public lavs – one on the seafront, one in the town centre."

    Eastbourne

"Attempting to queue to make a purchase in Eastbourne is ill-advised, as guaranteed some wizened homunculus of a woman is attempting to purchase her own handbag from the chap on the photo counter at Boots. Moreover, she is attempting to purchase it with boiled sweets and other detritus found in the bottom of her pockets. A collection of items she considers to be legal tender."

Hackney is one of the nicest areas in london; young, affluent, central, viccy park. As is Walthamstow. There is problems with crime in these areas,, doesn't stop them from being as vibrant as they are.

My home town, Morecambe, was second in the book I think. To be fair it is an awful town, but I love it. The sunset over the bay setting over the lake district is to beautiful, it almost entirely redeems the town of if it's crappy-ness.

    Re: Crap Towns
Just found this about Barrow on the chavtowns site:

Barrow In Furness aka “The ****hole”,what a dump and possibly the most chav populated town I have ever seen.Take a walk through the main street “Dalton Road” and see how many “LONSDALE” clad teenage chavs you can see in the 2 minutes it takes to walk through the shopping area. The sale of Staffordshire bull terriers has rocketed as its essential to have LONSDALE Traccy,Fake massive gold chain and a staffy on a lead by your side.
Barrow has one of the highest murder rates in the country and its easy to see why.Take a stroll through one of the doss area estates and watch the heads turn and curtains twitch.
The average day consists of getting up at 11 am,have a litre of White Lightening then take the dog up town to see if the mecca sports shop “SPORTSWORLD” has any new Lonsdale gear for under a fiver. After sitting in MC Donalds for 3 hours its time to go home cos the teenage girlfriend will be due home from school and then shes got to go for her pregnancy scan to see if its twins or not.
At night time boy racers zoom up and down the street with the fake Burberry caps and Camel fags hanging out their gobs, the town is filthy and its a regular occurance to see several dogs ****ting on the pavement where nobody bothers to bat an eye lid.The local paper even have a coloumn called “chav watch” which describes when and where chavs were spotted.
If you want to see what happens when your cousin shags your sister then head to Barrow,a real ****hole full of JJB,ARGOS,SPORTSWORLD AND MACCIES shops that are full of spotty, piss stained chavs with their dogs.
If there was ever a war then head to Barrow cos nobody and I mean noboby will bother bombing this ****hole.
I can take a joke about Barrow (when comedians joke about Barrow I don't really care one way or the other) but I'm sick of stuff like this. Barrow is nowhere near as bad as people say it is. For anyone who cares the video below demonstrates just how genuine the people of Barrow are. A few months ago an 18 year old lad died in a motorbike crash and his friends organised this. It was meant to be smallish tribute and it snowballed into this. Barrow people might be a bit rough around the edges but we're friendly and caring when it matters.

Also, as for the last line in that description, of course Barrow is the last place an enemy would want to bomb in a war. I mean, it's not like there's a huge shipyard building the most advanced nuclear submarines in the world...

The houses near central park and on Thorpe Road/Meadows can only be afforded by the Arabs.

I haven't read it but if St Helens and Warrington aren't in there, then they should be!

Rough as a badgers arse but I love 'em!
Agreed with St Helens! It's got some nice stuff, but unfortunately it's just so depressing. It's like walking through a cloud of pure dullness.
