Cabin in the Woods?
Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Re: Cabin in the Woods? And that's what happens when I write dates from memory without wiki-ing!(Original post by Phalanges)
Not quite true. It wasn't supposed to be released until February 2010, then MGM delayed it a year that so they could convert it to 3D. However, they went bust in June 2010. Lionsgate didn't even acquire the distribution rights until July 2011, so they weren't just letting it gather dust for poops and giggles. But hey, if we ignore facts and just sign petitions on the internet everything will be okay!

Re: Cabin in the Woods? You made it sound like Lionsgate were sitting on the film for 3 years when they actually had it for about 9 months. There's margins of error and then there's just being wrong.(Original post by LaBelleEtLeBete)

I hope Lionsgate don't lose too much revenue from TSR users boycotting them because of my bad phrasing!

Re: Cabin in the Woods? It's alright, you could just sign a petition to get people to go and watch them again. People listen to those.(Original post by LaBelleEtLeBete)

So general consensus is to not watch any trailers and Ill get a horror with a twist where all is not what it seems. Ive to appreciate a film that almost never made it to screen and a sexy man who played Thor ...oh and watch out for unicorns :/
Awesome.
Thanks for the feedback.
Ill let you know what I think once Ive seen it.
PS is it a film you can see twice? If I take someone whos already seen it is the story ruined if you know the ending or a film you can watch twice to find all the hints of the twist? -

Re: Cabin in the Woods?
It wasn't nearly as clever as I think it wanted to be, but it wasn't bad either. I'm sure it'll suit some peoples taste to perfection, but I didn't really find the bits that I think you were supposed to think were 'cool' very cool at all. The story was a good one though, just could have been executed better.
