I am basically copying and posting this from one thread that I wrote to make another one, because I have personally experienced several insults and mockery against me and what I believe.

By the way, if anyone would like to check my background, a moderator most definitely can, because I have nothing to hide.

Jesus is right. Jesus said that people would insult those who follow him, and it is true.

Matthew 5:11-12 (NIV) - I boldened some.

" 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Jesus also said to forgive, to love, to pray for, to bless, and to do good to those who are our "enemies." Since you judge me and insult me, I suppose I can apply the following verse as to Jesus telling me to love, forgive, pray for, bless, and do good to you as well as all the folk on the forum who insult me, hmm?

Luke 6 (NIV) - I boldened all.

"27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. "

So I just want to say to everyone insulting me or what I believe: I love you because of Jesus. I forgive you, and I will pray for you.

EDIT: You said "Jesus claimed" blah blah, how do you know Jesus said these things? You don't, you read a story book which gets reworded so much it's like chinese whispers.

I appreciate that you are only trying to help people, but I don't think this is the place for it. You hold a lot of (no offence) old fashioned views that the majority of people on TSR (ie. students) simply do not care about or believe in. You make really long, boring posts in which you quote dozens of Bible verses, under the impression that we care what is written in the Bible. The Bible is a fictional book, and I do not care what is written in it, and neither do most people on here. I suppose what I'm trying to say is you don't seem to be on the same wavelength as most TSR users. I have absolutely nothing against you personally, I just think you're trying to convince the wrong group of people, and maybe you should stick to the Christian Society thread (if it means anything, I find people who relentlessly post about Islam, atheism, whatever just as irritating).

The reason you have experienced insults and mockery is because some of the things you have said are deserving of them.
