Alevel Students: How late do you study at night?
Discussion for A-Level students and for those choosing their A-Level subjects.

Re: Alevel Students: How late do you study at night?
I don't like working past 10, I don't find I work at my best, and see no point in forcing myself to carry on after that [it won't stick in my head!].
I'd rather be working early/afternoon. Then maybe an hour or two in the evening, but stop by 9 if possible.
Each to their own though! -
Re: Alevel Students: How late do you study at night?
I'm at Uni now,
During A Levels I used to start revising around 10.30ish and go on till about 2.30, after which I go to sleep.
Reasons being that I get distracted before that, and I feel easier to concentrate when everyone has gone to sleep and I have the world to myself, and also staying up late in the night gives me a feeling that I'm doing work, though I wasted my whole day before that. lol -
Re: Alevel Students: How late do you study at night?I follow your friends pattern aswell more or less. Only difference might be that I sleep at 5 and wake up directly at 10. Then sleep again at 4 till school starts. Trust me, it works(Original post by Future_Dr)
No to be honest. He ended up with 4 As in January exam. i don't know how his brain works really.

For me, it was until I felt tired, so would go to sleep between 1-2am. It was strictly 6 hours/day for me during the weeks leading up to my exams, with 1 or 2 20 min naps during the day.
Seriously, take a nap during the day! For 20 minutes... you'll feel like you have a new brain, and it helps with forming memories and turning your STM (short term memories) into L(long)TMs.
There's an app called Pzizz which puts you to sleep like a baby, and wakes you up shortly after feeling so (SO SO SO!) refreshed and recharged. It's for Android and iOS (as well as Mac and Windows). I'll admit that I was a skeptic and yes, I shamelessly torrented it last year thinking it wouldn't work, but happily paid for it when I realised that it has the power to revolutionise your day and workschedule. Try it!
You've got me intrigued now!
I just downloaded it from the net and will test it shortly

Re: Alevel Students: How late do you study at night?
I'm a night owl so I'm only productive late at night. I usually sit and work non-stop from about 11pm until about 3am without and distractions. I'm useless during the day, I will do anything other than revise, literally anything. In fact yesterday I organised my socks into brands and colours.

Re: Alevel Students: How late do you study at night?
Sometimes I've worked through the night and been a total zombie the next day. I'm beginning to think tonight is going to be one of those nights - I've got a coursework deadline tomorrow and my teacher's just emailed me with a list of improvements I need to make.
I hate coursework.
Normally I go on until about 11 though. -
Re: Alevel Students: How late do you study at night?
I'm at my best from 7pm till around 11pm, i can work in the day but it's a bloody struggle
Much prefer working in the evening, everything is a little more relaxed: i've eaten dinner, chilled out doing nothing all day (or college all day) then can get on with some work

Re: Alevel Students: How late do you study at night?
I've realised i am able to concentrate and retain knowledge better if i study either at night or really early in the morning. so on weekends, I go to bed at about 4 am studying from about 8 pm (give or take) till 4 am. On weekdays however, I wake up at 4 am and study till about 7pm (because i have to go to school). I generally don't get a lot of sleep (that's just how i am). Recently though, i have had at least one all-nighter a week but that is just because going to sleep is quite difficult for me so i just stay awake.

Re: Alevel Students: How late do you study at night?
I finished A levels last year but I used to do a similar thing to your friend. I found there was only so much my brain could take in one session before I started to not follow it, lose concentration and get tired. If you sleep even for an hour its like you brain resets again so I started sleeping more than once a day. Now I revise through the night because I really don't like day light when I study so I sleep 9am- 7pm then revise in the night.

Re: Alevel Students: How late do you study at night?
It depends on the day and my mood, if I'm working in the evening (which is almost impossible as my family never leave me alone) I'll make sure I stop by around 10. If I leave it later I'll generally have a nap then pick it up from around 10/11 to around 2 in the morning :P
imma fail!
but im also a mornings person, so i tend to wake up at around 5ish, get some revision done, and then go to school
